I just saw a great video about raw food on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3xOU2tLl7g) that a friend of mine posted on Facebook. Feeling all pumped & inspired. Also, found a Bikram studio in Mumbai. Very excited about that! I always look for Bikram studios wherever I go but last time I was in Mumbai, there were none. I wonder how far it is from the hotel I'll be singing in.
One of the things I love about traveling to sing in… Continue

I've traveled a lot as a singer. I've been in Japan, Korea, Thailand, France, Italy, Morocco, India, Belgium, Dominica... and whatever other countries I may be forgetting at this moment. I have been vegan for 20 years now and all or high raw for 2 yrs.
My adjustment period is always pretty similar when I arrive somewhere new. I spend about a week experimenting and learning about the food and the culture and customs. Then I learn what works and what I can sustainably eat and how sustainably to t… Continue

Three acres of self-sustainable, off-the-grid (except for phone lines and high speed internet), permacultured, tropical lusciousness on the Big Island of Hawaii is For Sale! The property was developed by a knowledgable plantsman who has also been an influential raw foodist among insiders for the last 20 years.
Ownership includes a 100 year lease on the adjacent 60 acres, a portion of which is sub-leased out to several small, organic farmers which entirely covers the lease fee. The proper… Continue

Wow this is the first time that I am posting a video on my blog and it is all about an exciting news that I like to share with you guys. It is about my Al Fresco Summer Raw Class Tour around:
Travel, in any context, rouses exciting thoughts and discovery. In Tunisia, at least for this Western traveler, the intensity of the arid climate amplified the number of these revelations. In the relative dryness of the Sahara, one theme reoccurred at every moment of my stay: water. In Tunisia, an increase in tourism, urban sprawl, irrigation and population relentlessly deplete the water that rivers and aquifers supply. Even more, as I sadly learned as a result of a bait-and-switch technique in… Continue

Our protocol involves the elimination of the following.... (there's a science behind it but to much to explain here and now)...
Basically these are gone:
ALL grain (gluten free usually uses rice and that is something we live without)
LOW sugar content (carb/sugar under 10 g. per serving)
NO cow milk
No high glycemic
We incorporate:
living foods (enzymes)
glutathione rich foods
vitamin D
sockeye salmon
goat milk/cheese is okay
veggies
low glycemic fruits
desserts/treats with carb sugar count… Continue
I think our story is fascinating - and other children with Type 1 can learn a ton from it! We have used the synergy of real food, eliminated the causes of the disease....and in Aug. 2008 got our "Diagnostic cure". We are against genetically modified grain, cow milk and high glycemic foods. Those eliminated worked in a regeneration process to rest our daughters pancreas and in a mere 6 months cure the disease! We live without Type 1.
My name is Kim Brown and I'm founder of Live without Type 1 -… Continue
